Jewelry was always an intimate passion of Annika - She started to create her own jewelry by sculpting it out of Polymer Clay, when she was about sixteen years old or so. During college in 2011 Annika started selling her Polymer Clay creations on Etsy under the brand name Paranoia mit Sahne. After graduation and some really unhappy years in her first jobs she came to the conclusion that she wants to live her own dreams and not someone elses. So she decided to learn goldsmithing that she can create jewelry out of precious metal, too. Annika did her studies at the famous goldsmithing school Staatliche Zeichenakademie in Hanau, Germany. After graduation as a Goldsmith she started her own fine jewelry brand called Mountain Moth Jewelry. Currently she is working as an independent fine artist and Goldsmith.
"I always want to create some fantastic jewelry worlds which can display my inner desires into something unique, something wearable. My pieces are inspired by mystical and occult stuff and by some daily weirdness, I like to play with subtle anxieties and emotions. The combination of precious metals like silver, gold and gemstones with synthetic polymers or glass are so exciting and let me always feel like an Alchemist."
