Because of different life circumstances Annika wasn't able to draw in the way, or how much she actually wanted over a decade. Depression and a Anxiety Disorder held a tight grip on her when she didn't even know about it. When she became aware of the problem, the disease was at its current peak. It is extremely difficult to break free from this pull, so Annika started painting again to channel her emotions and feelings and give them a shape. It helps her to release them from her mind and body in this way and to show others how it feels.

It is painted with a great ease, but at the same time with a heavy weight.
